Ilikai Unit 1937

"Condo 1937 was exactly as presented on the website and how we had imagined it. As a result we had a wonderful first stay in Hawaii. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and well presented with everything provided for a comfortable family (two adults and two teenage children) holiday. Whilst the children were entertained by the huge TV and access to the internet, my husband and I enjoyed the ever changing view from the balcony overlooking the marina and ocean with back views across the city. These apartments are wonderfully close (10 minutes walk) to the Ala Moana shopping area which is also a great place for an informal evening meal before returning, laden with purchases to an evening cocktail on the balcony. Alternatively there are several great restaurants nearby as well as a couple of handy ABC shops which cater for all holiday purchases. There were also some useful shops around the lobby in The Ilikai where staff were very friendly and helpful. Using the beachfront boardwalk it was a very pleasant short stroll or quick power walk to the busier Waikiki Beachfront area and all the local tourist activities such as surfing lessons, paddle boarding and sunset cruises. We also used the bus stops outside the Ilikai to take buses to Diamond Head for spectacular views over the local area and also used buses for an interesting route past Pearl Harbour and through Honolulu to the factory outlets in Waikele. Only wish we were able to stay longer to explore other routes. All in all, a wonderful stay and highly recommended. We will be back!"

"Just come back from lovely holiday for our 50th wedding anniversary, Unit was ideally situated,at end of the floor, so very spacious, we could walk to Alo Moana shopping centre, which was great, the lagoon to swim in was lovely and only a couple of minutes walk along a walkway, trolley buses stopped outside door, beach was good but a bit rocky in the shallows, you need coral shoes , restaurants close by, we had it all thank you Ilikai."

"Absolutely fantastic place to stay, we spent so much time sitting on the large lanai watching the ocean with weddings on the beach, surfers, yacht racing, cruise ships, planes,people with From our room 1722 we could watch the hilton laui without paying the expensive price. The room was spacious, clean and everything described on the website. the keyless entry made life so much easier, rooms were quiet, pool was great with all day sun. We went to the sorrento roof top restaurant booked and got the sunset table was expensive but worth it. We have stayed in Waikiki before but will only ever stay at the Ilikai the location was perfect 10 min walk to either alomoana mall or main Waikiki shops. Much more pleasant at this end away from the hustle. Plenty of places to eat close by that we're great especially devinos pasta in ena street cheap and tasty great service. Thanks to Waikiki ocean rentals, we will be back"

We arrived on Friday so enjoyed the evening sipping wine on the lanai (balcony) while watching the Fireworks from the beach right out in front of condo. After a hard day shopping it was great to get home to our condo (our little sanctuary ) ,good coffee from coffee shop in resort . I would love to come back for another holiday."

"Just returned from a amazing 12 days stay at the Ilikai and want to thank Scott and his team. We were in Waikiki for a wedding and family and friends from New Zealand, Australia, Canada, UK and US including the bride and groom all stayed at the Ilikai. Most of us booked through Oceanfront Rentals who made the booking and stay seamless . Most of our needs were accommodated and we got late checkout in one of our units which really helped as our flight was not until 11.30 pm. The Keyless entry, free wi-fi, free calls to Canada and US together with all that we need to make our stay feel like home away from home was in each unit. The kitchen was well equipped for all meals . There were nights when we would cook for more than 10!!! Waking up to the beautiful view from our room was priceless. We watched surfers and whales at play. Friday nite's firework and watching the shows from the Hilton Luau from the comfort of your own lanai was a bonus. The beach and lagoon were clean and so easy to get to. The property was well maintained and beautiful. Everything was within walking distance. Happy hour at the Yard House. Shopping at Ala Moana Mall or International Market. We already have friends looking into this place for their vacation. More than 30 of us had nothing but praises about our stay at the Ilikai. Ilikai Unit 1120

"We have returned from our stay of 5 weeks in Unit 1120 and loved every minute of it. The unit is just as advertised. The view was amazing and we sat on the lanai with our morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. The location was perfect and we enjoyed walks around Magic Island, to Ala Moana and into Waikiki for Happy Hours (P.F. Changs was excellent for Happy Hours - good appetizers/pupus), shopping, etc. Everything was within walking distance so a car isn't necessary unless you choose to rent one to tour the island. I would recommend the Saturday/Sunday Swap Meet as a great place to get gifts, etc. and we took the bus there and back. Made in Hawaii soaps, jewellery and 100% Kona coffee were much better prices than in Waikiki. We went to the beach in front of the Hilton every day and it is so beautiful. We shopped for our groceries where many of the locals shop, Don Quijote, where prices and selection are great. We really appreciated the free calling to Canada and the keyless entry door was so easy not having to worry about having a key along."

"I and my family recently stayed in unit 429 for 11 days. We walked into a beautiful condo, big enough to sleep 5 or even 6 people. Everything was immaculate and truly lovely. I know that when people travel, the bed is big problem usually...not here. This unit has the "BEST" mattresses I have ever had on a vacation. I was trying to figure out how to take it home with me. There were yummy white duvet covers on both bed that were wonderful and awesome pillows. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need if want to prepare your own meals as far as pots, pans, plates and dishes...and plenty of glasses (which has always been the bane of our existance when traveling, since there are always 4-5 of us). I was very happy to find an iron and a hairdryer in the unit as well, since I had forgotten to bring both...sometimes it is the little things that make your life so much easier. I was concerned that the view in a lower floor would not be okay, but I was very wrong. We got there and opened that wonderful wall of sliding glass doors to a lanai that held not just one, but 2 tables an chair sets (so we all could relax) and saw a fabulous view of the Marina, the ocean, the city beyond the Ilikai...so no fears people..it is still a view of paradise! For those of us who cannot give up our internet, no problem. The free wi-fi worked very well and was easy to access. There is a very nice flat screen TV as well for those who can't miss there favorite shows. Parking at the Ilikai can be very expensive, but there is very reasonable parking right next door and this info comes in the information if you book this unit. Our whole experience was magical and we all loved our stay. The Ilikai itself has stores and coffee shops, 2 restaurants, a pool and free entertaiment on Friday nights that I recommend you see in the courtyard. Once this show is done you can then see the fireworks display from the resort next door without ever leaving your seat. If you are an adventurer, you are only a few minutes walk from the Ala Moana Shopping Center (fabulous shopping) and in the other direction, the hustle and bustle of Waikiki...very fun. We found that at the end of each of our days, coming back to our unit was like coming home...cozy, welcoming and to be honest plenty of room for all of us, our luggage and everything we had acquired during that days adventure. You will love it here. We would definitely book this room again and again. Aloha."

"We have just spent a wonderful week at the Ilikai Hotel in unit 1714. The condo was very clean and well equipped with a beautiful view of the ocean and lagoon. We enjoyed whale watching and the Friday night fireworks from the large balcony. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels, beach towels, and two lawn chairs to use at the beach or park. The hotel grounds were beautiful and well-kept. We had rented a car for the week but could walk or take the bus just about everywhere. Thank you for allowing us a late checkout when our flight times were changed. We would definitely choose the Ilikai and for any future trips to Honolulu."

"Our stay was perfect! The condo is centrally located to everything! We did not even have to rent a car. Most everything you need is within a brief walk! Transportation was right outside the front of hotel/condo, whether it be trolley, taxi, or tour bus! We loved the unit! Perfect size for the two of us. The king size bed slept excellent! The view from the lanai was lovely....the harbor, ocean, and even seeing the cruise ships come in was beautiful! If I had any suggestion it would be to have room darkening curtains or blinds as to keep cooler during the day and keep the light out when you are trying to sleep. We have recommended your unit to our friends and family and we hope to come back soon! I am so glad we found this unit, it really made my birthday trip special!"

"We stayed at the Ilikai in privately owned unit #516 and it was exactly as advertised - newly renovated, clean, updated and spacious. Beautiful ocean view from the lanai as well as the Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks. Comfortable king size bed, large flat screen TV and a good kitchen space. The Ilikai has a nice pool and the beach and lagoon in front of the Hilton Hawaiian village is a 5 minute walk. The hotel restaurant is reasonably priced but there are many restauarants very close. The bus stop is right out front. You can walk 15 minutes to the Ala Moana Shopping Mall or the Ala Moana beach and park which is wonderful and much quieter than Waikiki. There is a Food Pantry to stock your kitchen just a few blocks away, or use the Wal Mart near the Ala Moana mall. The ease of booking and using this condo was greatly appreciated after a long, long trip from Windsor, Ontario to Honolulu. Airport to hotel cab ride was $35."

It is conveniently located for a fairly short walk right to downtown Waikiki and located very close to the beach and all the beach venues if one wants to partake in having a meal, a drink, or an icecream right down at the beach within spectacular view of the famous Waikiki beach. "My family stayed in unit 1444 for 4 nights in January. This unit is stunning. There are views in all directions, marina, ocean and city. The beautiful lanais invite you to sit and relax and enjoy. The unit is very large, two comfortable bedrooms and a big living room, dining room and kitchen. Well stocked with all the basics an apartment needs and tastefully decorated. If you compare this to what you would pay for an equivalent size hotel room with even half of the view, it is an incredible bargain. It really feels like your own home, but with the amenities of a hotel and a few minute walk to everything. the site is very responsive and organized as well, so the booking and payment process to the owner is smooth and easy. I have stayed in around 1/2 a dozen condos and hotels in Honolulu and this is by far the best place I have stayed. 5 stars, two thumbs up, highly recommended."

"Aloha! Just wanted to let you know what a fantastic time we had in the Condo Room 524. It was even better than what I was expecting a gorgeous king size bed, comfortable, modern and attractive furnishings and plenty of room to feel quite at home. I cannot fault the room at all and would highly recommend it to anyone. Even tho only on the 5th floor, we had a great view of the harbour. It was also incredibly quiet at night and I think it is better situated not right in the heart of Waikiki& however it is within comfortable walking distance to everywhere. It was our first trip to beautiful Hawaii and definitely wont be our last. We loved everything the people, the environment, the shopping!!!, the weather, the history and culture, and most of all& the home away from home Condo at the site! We had 4 rooms in all for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration, three generations of family meeting in Hawaii from Canada and Australia..... Our room was spacious and light with a great view overlooking the marina...... The kitchen was adequate, and the free Wi-Fi a bonus....... We use to sit on the balcony with our morning fruit and yoghurt watching the planes taking off and landing from Honolulu Airport...... and then managed to get a fantastic photo of the sun setting into the water in the evening We also had the bonus of watching filming of Hawaii Five-0 from the penthouse opposite. The entry and departure system was easy and it was a bonus not to have to worry about keys........ The stroll along the Beachfront Walk was great for a couple of sets of Grandparents plus little ones, as was the 10 minute walk to the Ala Moana Shopping Mall.... We will be back"

"Our recent visit to Hawaii was indeed an enjoyable one and this is attributable, in part, to our home away from home accommodations. We were very pleased with your condo, it was very clean and contained all the amenities that we needed, and the price was reasonable. We also appreciated the extra time on the last day, allowing us to keep our luggage in safekeeping while we enjoyed the area for one last time before catching a late evening flight. "We just wanted to let you know how great our stay was in Ilikai Unit 2607. What a spectacular view of the lagoon being on the top floor!!! The unit was clean and spacious enough for 2 families. Was great being able to cook a couple meals in the unit as well. The location was great and easy access to everything. I couldnt say more about the trip and having the place we stay at being well kept and clean helped the whole experience. Unit was secure so we didnt have to worry about our valuable possessions laying around. Next time we are back in Hawaii we will definitely be staying here again. We were able to do a late checkout since out return flight wasnt leaving until 11pm so that helped us out immensely not having to pack up by 11am (regular checkout). The place is a Great Value!!!"

"Aloha! We wanted to say how wonderful it was to stay at the Ilikai in unit 1214 during our family vacation to Hawaii November 11-18, 2012. The unit was perfect, bright, very clean well decorated in hawaiian style and the views were breathtaking to say the least. Being able to sit out on the lanai and have fresh cold fruit for breakfast and watch the surfers and boats every morning and then to relax after a day at the beach with a beverage each evening before bed was all that we dreamed. The location was excellent and the beach, just a short 5 min. stroll away, was awesome. We were in excellent proximity to wonderful restuarants and beachfront bars. Surf and paddlebaord lessons were available right on the beach throughout the day. "Bruce and i just want to stay Thank you :) We arrived in Honolulu 10.30pm Mid September after a very long flight and was soon delivered to the front door of Oceanfront Apartments. Its was a great relief to enter the code and open our door to find everything as shown on your website. Instructions were simple and easy to follow. The next 10 days was just Bliss with everything within walking distance ...7am swims and evening cocktails on the balcony watching the Hilton Luau free from our balcony. We also enjoyed visiting Pearl Harbor, Ala Moana, riding the buses for down town shopping and hiring Harley Davidson's from Big Kahuna Bike rentals,(recommend the captains tour ) We have left lots more to be done on our next return visit. We will be re-booking as soon as our work schedule allows and spreading the word.....(but not to loud just in-case we cant get our next booking in unit 1722 lol )"

"We had a great time in this condo! The place was very clean and the views were amazing! The kitchen was very useful for our trip. We save a lot of money cooking our meals. it was an awesome bonus to enjoy eating out on the lanai. it was definitely a relaxing vacation. We had a perfect view of the Hilton Hawaiian Lagoon and the ocean beyond it. On Friday nights there is a fireworks show. Although the fireworks were a bit startling (it was so close to our room) it was nonetheless a perfect way to start our vacation. The location of the hotel was perfect. Lots of restaurants and shops are nearby. The beach is also close and the Ala Moana mall is near as well. The valet attendants of the hotel were all sweet. They were all friendly and helpful if we needed any questions answered."

"My husband and I stayed in room #2030 for twelve days in October and it was wonderful. It was immaculate with a gorgeous view of Diamond Head and the Hilton Lagoon. The condo was spacious with a great kitchen supplied with a coffee maker, dish soap, paper towels, pots and pans and cutlery. The only appliance in the kitchen that needed an upgrade would be the toaster. It was very weak for a couple that loves their toast every morning. No big deal though. The mattress on the bed was so comfortable after long days of walking and excursions we slept just great. The bathroom was big, great hair dryer but one of the beach towels was pink with a picture of a lady bug on it. Not a towel my husband wanted to show off. Luckily, we brought our own towels. Besides this small issue, towel, toaster, the condo was awesome and we would book the same room in a heartbeat. Having one's personal door code and no key or card was also a bonus not having to worry about anything getting lost or stolen. "My 76 year old mother and I spent a wonderful, comfortable week in your lovely condo. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and had a good sized kitchen and bathroom. The beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of space for everything. We didn't turn on the TV once, since we were so busy enjoying all that Oahu had to offer (circle island tour, snorkeling, shopping, dinner cruise, Polynesian Cultural Center). We loved the parade that went directly in front of the hotel. My mother is claustrophobic; however, the elevators were very fast, so we were quite pleased with them. We especially enjoyed our large lanai, with nice views of the Hilton and its pool, the luau dances on the roof across the way, the lagoon, and the ocean. We spent every evening sitting outside, playing cards, eating snacks and enjoying the view. I also appreciated being able to use the beach umbrella, chairs, snorkeling gear and caddy. A very nice touch. The hotel is within walking distance to food and nice shops at the Hilton, and public transportation pickups are just outside as well. Overall, we would both rate our stay as EXCELLENT. The next time we return to Oahu, we will definitely stay here again!"

We had a great time snorkeling, surfing and hiking while in Waikiki and really enjoyed the ability to cook our own meals as needed or make lunches to go. We did splurge on one dinner at the Top of the Ilikai and would recommend all go there for at least a drink at sunset - what a view! Speaking of great view - we did walk down to the Lagoon (takes only 2 minutes) to see the fireworks Friday night (every Friday night at about 7:45) which were fantastic - but imagine our surprise as fireworks started going off again (for a wedding?) The location was fantastic not in the noisy , over crowded , closed beach end of Waikiki , but close enough to visit should we need to . ( I ran thru Waikiki Main Beach everyday enroute to the War Memorial & was always pleased to return home!) Check in was smooth & easy , pool cards ready , kitchen gorgeous, clean &fully equipped (even though we ate out most nights at the restaurants Ocean Front Rentals recommended ) , pool towels etc . Apartment size was great & I loved that it was on the end of the block (only neighbours on one side) & two balconies . Spoke with Bert a couple of times, very helpful & Scott was a pleasure to deal with and honoured the late-check-out-at-no-extra-charge opportunity which we were really really appreciative of !! "I stayed in room 2134 for 2wks in June 2012- it was great. The room was clean, it had everything I needed (heaps of towels too including beach towels), WIFI worked, and the bed was super comfy. The kitchen had enough pots, pans etc to cook dinner when I needed to. The view of the lagoon and the beach was fantastic to wake up to and it was nice and relaxing to sit outside, I could also enjoy watching the Polynesian Cultural shows at the Hilton from here. It was also nice and quiet at night so no problems getting to sleep after a long day. The Ilikai itself is a lovely hotel, the bar downstairs became my "local" for the duration of my stay with friendly staff and a fantastic outlook onto the marina and beach. It is also an ideal location to watch the Friday night fireworks. It is a 5 min walk to the Ala Moana Shopping Centre, 10min to the Ward Shopping area (next block down from Ala Moana, includes 3 big outlet stores well worth the visit) and about 15min to the International Market Place. There is a local Food Mart a 5min walk down Hobron Rd, much closer than Walmart and cheaper than the ABC shops. I am hoping to go back next year and will certainly stay here again, the best value for money. "

"The condo was awesome. The interior was new, the bathrooms, towels, pool towels, everything. The beds slept great (we loved the two bedrooms) and the view was just perfect. The condo is on a very central place on the island, so to go anyplace does not take a huge amount of time. It is not in a 'nightlife' area, but for us, with two little girls, that was actually nice. No nightlife noises to deal with at bedtime, or late night party goers to deal with in the building. The ancient fishpond, next to the beach, was great for our girls. At low tide, they had a great time looking for shells and crabs and running around in the shallow water (the waves in the ocean were a little to strong for them), and in high tide they good swim a little. The pool was nice, parking plenty and, again, the view phenomenal. We had a great time, and would come back in a heartbeat. We certainly recommend this condo to anyone who is looking for a place to stay at beautiful Maui!"

What a perfect location, just a few steps from beautiful beaches to lay out or swim in and just a few steps from wonderful restaurants and night life. And the view! Amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better place to rent. The unit's full kitchen was perfect to make our own breakfast, lunch and/or dinners so we didn't have to eat out every single meal of the day. You can also walk to various car rental places to cruise around the island. The table and comfy chairs on the balcony create a perfect place to sit and watch the view while sipping coffee in the morning or enjoy a relaxing dinner for two with a glass of wine. There is also a helpful 'what to do' book the owners have provided so if you are new to the island, have no fear, plenty of great activities are recommended by the owners and previous vacationers whom have stayed there. The unit has everything one needs for a relaxing time including a full kitchen HD TV, internet access and of course the great view of the marina. Sunsets on the patio are fabulous and there are great restaurants within easy walking distance. We swam in the ocean in front of the Hilton (next door) and shopped in the Ala Moana Shopping center (15 minute walk). We did rent a car to go sightseeing and parking was easy with the valet. "We recently booked a holiday from May 20th to June 4th on in room 1718 and we were not disappointed! This was our first trip to Hawaii so I had high expectations and I can tell you now, it won't be our last. Having never rented a vacation rental before, I was a little apprehensive. However the whole process was seamless from our initial booking with Scott, to our payment process with the owner to the details that were supplied for our check in, to the unit itself. The suite was very clean and the decor was exactly as presented in the pictures (the kitchen layout was reversed, but appeared as presented). The pillows and duvet were sooo comfortable. Nothing will describe the feeling of pure excitement and relaxation (after a very long flight the night before followed by a comfortable sleep) that we felt when we opened the blinds the next morning to see the ocean, lagoon and double rainbows that welcomed us to our first day on Oahu! You can watch the luau at the Hilton next door from Monday-Thursday and fireworks on Friday, see plenty of surfers in the water, and view of the pool. You are between a 5-10min walk to downtown Waikiki when you walk along the oceanfront with access to number of shops, restaurants and bars. We loved enjoying our coffee on the comfortable chairs on the lanai and it was nice to turn off the AC and open the double doors to let the fresh ocean air inside. Doing dishes isn't a chore when you have a beautiful view of the ocean and cruise ships and sail boats passing by and we loved the flexibility of preparing our breakfast and snacks for the beach but splurging at night. There are ABC stores which carry your basic essentials within minutes of the Ilikai (one on each corner) as well as car rentals (across the street) and walking distance (5min to Ala Moana Shopping Centre). There is a grocery store at the shopping centre (back side past Macy's) which is great for your larger grocery orders. There is also a Walmart and Sam's Club on the other side of the mall. The unit was well equipped with all of the kitchen appliances you would need during your stay. The concierge service (Veronica in particular) was fabulous. Everyone in the building was super friendly and they have good weekly deals in the bar onsite. WOFR was very attentive and timely responding in his response to our questions before our departure and upon our arrival. And we loved that long distance and Internet was included to keep in touch with our family back home. To park with the concierge is expensive ($22 a day), but really you only need to rent a vehicle one or two days to tour the island and get your supplies. The rest of the time I suggest you use the trolly, tour bus excursions or walk. We would without a doubt stay here again or at another property. I have already shared the link with a number of family and friends. Trust us, if you book here you will not be disappointed! Thanks for a wonderful stay and we can't wait until our next visit. "I am one of those people that researches intensely before I travel and I am always leery of private deals. I have to say that this one was great though. Everything was exactly as described, the room was clean, new looking and the view was nice. Tip for people that want to do laundry, its kind of expensive, but if you're going to use it the all in one laundry sheets (include built in detergent , fabric softener and anti static) work great. I bought my at the supermarket before we left, so it was not bulky and mess free. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks "

"What an absolutely wonderful and relaxing time my daughter and I had at the condo.....Wow, where do I start? My 29 year old daughter and myself had a Mother/Daughter trip since she lives out of State from me, when we arrived she just didn't feel well and wanted to lay on the sofa and watch TV after arriving in Hawaii in the afternoon....I knew something was wrong. Monday morning I awoke to hear her crying in the bathroom and discovering my daughter had a high temperature, sore throat, and her ears were aching. I learned quickly that there are a couple of Docs on Call around Waikiki and I immediately called them at 5AM to which they told us we could wait until 6AM and a free Shuttle would pick us up, or we could take a taxi.....We took a taxi and were on our way to Walgreen's by 630AM....back to the condo by 730AM....Everyone we met from our Bellhop upon our arrival to our trips to see the Doctor during our stay was helpful, friendly, and always offered a helping hand and a smile. We could not have chosen a better place to be where everything was spotless, safe, secure, and having the beach and so much more outside your hotel.....who could ask for more? My daughter's first couple of days in Hawaii were rough ones, but once the antibiotics and shot kicked in she was up and we were on the beach, and enjoying our time together. I am so appreciative of your condo while my daughter and I stayed inside we could hear the ocean, see the surfers, and hear and see the Luau next door from not only our kitchen, but all areas of the condo inside and out....I made smoothie's in the blender, shopped at the ABC Store across the street, and even rented a car at Enterprise which is also across the street....We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center in our rented car, drove along the eastern coast and drove back through the middle of the island....I am so thankful we were not stuck in a hotel room during the days Krystle was sick, and I am thankful for you and how efficiently you run and conduct these beach front condos....I can't wait to come back and stay with you again. One night we saw a Hawaii 5-0 segment being filmed. The next night the most spectacular fireworks and when we went to sleep at night we could hear beautiful Hawaiian music in the distance. If there was anything we required Brett or Scott made sure it was supplied. "We stayed in the sky penthouse for 10 days and had a wonderful time!! I had never booked a condo stay like this before but the whole process was very simple & straight forward. The condo was very clean which was a top priority for our family, it was a perfect location close to shopping, restaurants and a short walk to the beach. The kitchen was fully equipted and saved us a lot of money by preparing our own meals. The staff at the Ilikai were very friendly & helpful. On more than one night we were front and centre from our balcony to see wonderful fireworks shows. On another evening as we took a walk by the beach the Hawaii 5-0 show was filming on the beach and we were able to watch them filming!! We look forward to our next visit to Hawaii & the Ilikai!!"

"I was in Hawaii for a 9 day stay on a doctoral academic residency that required a ton of homework and my husband is a post-cardiac event patient so accommodations and amenities were essential. The condo provided a home away from home for us as it was soooo cozy and enabled me to cook all my husband's heart healthy meals along with being able to write papers and submit online to sound of the ocean with the sliding doors open. This in itself made our Hawaiian visit most memorable. My husband especially enjoyed the huge flat screen and couch as NFL and NBA games came on five hours earlier rather than late in night so he could sit back and watch them all afternoon. He also loved using a code door entry rather than key which provided us with an extra sense of security when we left the condo. I appreciated a blender in the unit as start the day with protein shakes that need to be blended. Also, the toaster was big hit as my husband loves toast with his fruit as a snack which makes it just like home. The deep tub was a hit after the all day tours, not to mention the nightly luaos we could view from our balcony. Thank you for your assistance for minor internet connection issues- my husband was able to work remotely during the day and I was able to submit my papers with ease. In the morning before class, we were able to take a run a few times around the lagoon just before sunrise (the sidewalk was lit) then do a water workout in the pool, met a few of the other residents and would love to come back to teach water aerobics for them, you already have the participation willing and waiting! Cant wait to plan to return soon to the Ilikai. We googled the original Hawaii Five-O opening scene of the building, very cool!"

AND the Ala Moana centre being walking distance was too much temptation for the girls!! It was so roomy and the finishings were absolutely beautiful. I think it was nicer than many Four Seasons' Suites! "Greetings from Cape Cod. We are writing to tell briefly about our stay at the Ilikai over Thanksgiving. This was our first trip to HI. We stayed in unit 1818 and we were not disappointed. Everything was as or better than advertised. No bad surprises. The room was great, including the bath, kitchen, and TV. The beds were fine. The view is spectacular. We could see the kids below at the pool, out surfing at canoes or over at the lagoon. The staff was friendly, mellow and professional, and we were granted a delayed checkout to prepare for the long trip back to MA. We were able to bring our surfboards up to the room via the wet elevator without hassles. We've been burned before by renting what looked like great condos on the internet that turned out to be turkeys. The Ilikai is the real deal. We stayed the week of t-giving and had a blast. Don't hesitate. Concentrate on the other details of your trip, like spending the extra $$ on the bigger airline seats and your car rental, etc."

"We stayed in the Sky Penthouse unit 2607 in September of 2010. We frequently visit Hawaii and this was by far the best place that we have stayed. In fact, we enjoyed our vacation here soo much that we are booking it again in 2011. This Penthouse comes fully equipped with every amenity that one could hope for all the way down to the beach chairs, umbrellas and dish soap. It was very clean and modern, and the master bed was very comfortable. The views of the Lagoon, Diamond Head and the beach are outstanding!!! (that's an understatement!!!) On Friday nights they have a fireworks display show that you have a front row seat to watch from the comfort of your own balcony. They do the show on the beach right in front of the condo with unobstructive views. You can also watch the Luau at the Hilton next door from here. This Penthouse is situated in the best location possible, the first hotel tower entering Waikiki...it doesn't get better then this!!! You want convienence? How about 24 hour valet parking with in and out privelages at a decent rate. Not to mention, after a long day at the beach this is the first door you hit right off the elevator. The book of recommendations that Scott has provided is very helpful when looking for things to do, places to go and getting a bite to eat. I am giving Scott and the site 5 stars for my overall experience. If you are looking for a nice vacation in the best location for the most decent price...this is the place to be!!! "Our stay in unit 2039 was above and beyond what we had expected. Attention to detail and presentation of the room were well above many hotels and units we have stayed in worldwide. Prior to our stay, we stayed on Maui in an hotel which was supposed to be top of the range, but cleanliness and presentation were well below the standard. Location was perfect, away from the noise, but access to anything and everything was right on our doorstep. Missing relaxing on the Lanai taking in the fantastic sunsets already. "Aloha! We stayed in Condo 818 in September 2010. Our stay was wonderful! The condo was clean. Our family of four (two teenage boys) had plenty of room to move around. The view is beautiful. We could even watch the Luau at the Hilton several evenings from the lanai. (Binoculars do help, be you can hear it and see it some without them). Everyone was very helpful. I would highly suggest valet parking. It is well worth the $18/day. Everyone was right there to attend to our needs. We only had one or two, but the responses were very prompt. It was so nice after our long plane ride to just go right to the condo without having to check in anywhere. You just get a keycode for the door to use for your stay. The pool was wonderful. Always quiet and clean, thanks to Kay, the pool lady! If you want lots of excitement and action, this place is probably not for you, although the Hilton is right next door; a quick and easy walk. We very much enjoyed the quiet and relaxing environment and would suggest this condo to our friends and family (and already have!). Thanks so much for making our stay perfect! Mahalo and Aloha! "

"Thank you soo much for recommending unit 1814 at the Ilikai hotel resort We had a fabulous time in Hawaii, the Ilikai was soo central to everything and the views blew us away, we got a view of the Hilton's cultural nights performances, views of the fire works on Waikiki beach, the ocean, lagoon and pool. We loved the unit and used the facilities available to us. I loved the easy check in and also thank you Bert for the late check out as it helped having a late flight back home to NZ. Loved the Waikiki trolleys and Ala Moana shopping centre, food courts, Walmart, and Ross and many many more. We didn't want to leave Honolulu. Loved the units self contained with fridge, cooking facilities and everything available for our use. Having free internet access was a bonus! One other thing I really appreciated was the friendly cleaners as we would pass in the hall way and the bell boys, pool attendant, and safety having a 24 hour security watch in the hotel. Just want to say thank you and will be coming again in July 2011 for my mum's 60th birthday and we are definitely staying at the Ilikai. Mahalo! P.S.the band and the two hawaiian dancers down at the ilikai bar and grill was great to enjoy! Beautiful hotel/resort I recommend 150% to anyone travelling to Waikiki. We rented 3 units for 10 people lots of room and space in the units and in the entire hotel.!"

We had a generous supply of towels, soap, & the full kitchen saved us money that we would have spent on breakfast and lunches. Our unit had spectacular view of the ocean, lagoon & the condo is a great place to enjoy pre-dinner drinks, Friday night fireworks & access to a less populated beach. We could walk from our end of Waikiki to activities we wanted to do on the other end within 30 minutes. Having Ala Moana Shopping Center for groceries, shopping, and food was also a money saving benefit. This was our 3rd visit to Oahu & it was a pleasant change to staying at high priced hotels and resorts. We feel that the condo gave us more space and food options and allowed us to splurge on island excursions & dinners. We didn't get that overcrowded, over commercialized sensation that comes along with hotels & resorts. Staff was always easily accessible & willing to accommodate. The bar staff at Sarento's were fantastic. They made happy hour very happy for us & Mr Magic waved his magic on a stack of cards that made the whole experience magic I would recommend The Ilikai Hotel and this company to anyone traveling to this part of Hawaii. "We had a great time in the Ilikai Towers we found on , our flight was a red eye that arrived at 6 in the morning and I was thus worried about an early check in situation. Scott was very helpful and told me that if no one was staying in the room the night before we would be able to get in early as well. The morning of our arrival, there was a little glitch with the door lock but things were fixed very quickly after a phone call. The room was excellent and exceeded our expectations, everything clean, modern and comfortable with a beautiful view. On the last day of our trip, even though check out was supposed to be in the morning, our flight was at 11 pm. I called again and asked if there was any way for a late check-out, to my surprise, after mentioning our 11 pm flight, we were granted permission to stay in the room until 9 pm! Once again, we were extremely satisfied with our stay and with the flexibility and service! Would definitely book through them again the next time we're in Hawaii. Thank you!"

"Our stay at the Ilikai through the site was superb. We stayed on the 11th floor, logoon side ocean views. I never bother writing reviews, but because the experience was so good I had to write something, so that I could help others be comfortable making the right decision. To begin with, I like the process of paying upfront. This means you don't have to give credit card details, and know exactly how much your up for - easier to budget. Upon receipt of payment you are emailed codes to the room, plus internet passwords. I love the key-less entry to your room, I think this is a great idea and means you dont have to worry about losing cards or them not working. I also like not having to check in with the front desk, the entire process is seamless, when you arrive you can shoot straight up to your room, no line ups, nothing, and upon arriving, the codes worked, the internet worked, and the room looked exactly like the pictures. And the views are simply breathtaking...... nice big balcony, we were very impressed and were beaming with excitement of the prospect of spending 3 weeks here. The entire stay was a dream. Everything went smoothly. Our stay was for 3 weeks, so eating out every night was not an option. Luckily the apartment is walking distance to the big shopping centre, I did a few trips there to buy food, which saved money on eating out. The kitchen is well stocked, and we cooked up some nice meals, eating them from the nice big balcony. There are plenty of restaurants around there if your feeling lazy too. There are plenty of lifts in the hotel, and they are fast, which means no down time waiting when moving to and from your room. I required a fast reliable internet connection, the rooms have wired and wireless connections, and for the entire time we didnt have any problems servicing 2 laptops. Scott was always available on the phone, and was prompt and happy to answer any queries. On our last day our flight didn't leave until 10pm, so he was nice enough to organize a late check out of 8pm!!! What a legend, and thanks again Scott. In addition there is an excellent surf break right outside the doorstep of ilikai. Each morning I would brew up some Kona coffee from the coffee machine in the room (yum yum) drink it on the balcony and marvel at the consistent surf. It would take me literally 5minutes to be in the surf from the room, and every day i would spend at least 2 hours in the water. I found the locals who surfed there very friendly, so long as you respect general surf rules and are nice to them (which isn't hard to do, cause they are so friendly). We are loved our stay at the Ilikai and will be doing it again for sure. Aloha! "

Our flight left at 9pm and the free late checkout option was a lifesaver. Scott allowed us to stay in the condo all the way up until we had to leave for the airport that evening. This gave us more time to enjoy Waikiki before we had to leave. We could never get that at a hotel. We have such wonderful memories of our 5th wedding anniversary on Oahu and the accommodations by through the website had a lot to do with that. "We really enjoyed our stay at the Ilikai condo #1412 in February 2010. We liked the no frills of the hotel and the keyless entry was a plus. We would walk up and down the beach and checked out the other hotels and liked the easy access we had with the Ilikai. It will be nice though when a few shops fill in on the main floor. It felt a little empty at times. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and with the view of the lagoon and ocean. The location of the condo at the end of Waikiki beach was perfect for us especially on Friday night with the fireworks. Close to the Ala Moana shopping center, which we walked to almost daily. The center had all the shops you could want and Foodland grocery which really saved us money with eating breakfast and lunches in the condo. We walked on the beach daily and walked to Diamond head. Took the local bus to Pearl Harbor, $2.25 round trip. We were impressed how clean Waikiki was and felt safe whenever we were out. This was a trip to relax and that was exactly what we did."

"We certainly did enjoy our stay at the Ilikai and would stay with you again in a heartbeat. Although you are located at the far end of the beach, a short walk from all the action, that was one of the best things! We could walk into the shopping area anytime of day or night, enjoy the sights, the noise from all the entertainment, the people watching, stopping for a bite or a drink and then return to the condo by walking the length of the beach and then sit on our lanai with those spectacular views of the marina and ocean while we enjoyed a nightcap. You have your choice of beaches starting with the Hilton next door and continuing all the way down the strip towards Diamond Head. I must admit that one of our favorite spots was a short walk in the other direction to Ala Moana Park and Magic Island, what a wonderful, expansive family park. We will return to the Ilikai, soon!"

Both other times, we stayed in a hotel on Waikiki Beach. Although we enjoyed our stays at both these places, we LOVED staying in the condo for the flexibility and ease it afforded us. The Illikai is a very well kept and lovely older building, situated in a prime location on the beach. "We did enjoy our stay at our suite. It was well kept and well located. We did use our car quite a bit so parking was a bit of a hassle if you didn't want to pay through the nose every day.. Other than that the grounds were nice. I'd probably paint over the teal panels on the balcony's on the outside of the building and go to a sand color. Teal makes the building look dated even thought it was quite well maintained. We wouldn't have a problem recommending the building to anyone. Thanks Again."

"I just wanted to say that our unit was superb! The five of us stayed in unit 938 for a family vacation. This was my 4th time to Waikiki and we've always stayed at a hotel. I much preferred staying at this condo.The size of the unit was adequate, especially since we really only used it for sleeping and eating breakfast. The kitchen was great because we cooked a big breakfast each morning, which lasted us until supper (lots of places to eat). The dishwasher was a big plus! We purchased our supplies at an ABC store around the corner and did make a run to Foodland a couple of times at the Mall (15 min walk). The view from the balcony was absolutely spectacular!!. We were literally right on the beach. There was a clear view of the lagoon and ocean. It was great having a cup of coffee each morning enjoying the surf and even whales one morning! Just imagine what you would pay for such a view at the Hilton next door!The front entrance/lobby lobby was fine...in fact it was quite nicely decorated with plants and fountains. The only reason I mention this is that some people were complaining about it. Some of the stores were closed up, but they were off to the side, so not a big deal. There are plenty of shops near by, so who needs to shop in a hotel. There were 6 elevators and there was one always waiting in the lobby. The outside of the building is a bit tired looking, but who cares...the unit was modern and completely renovated. The price of the unit was a steal...with 5, we were looking at 2 hotel rooms at more than three times the price!Many restaurants and ABC's nearby if you need supplies. We rented a car one day and parked at the Marina behind the Ilikai. Note that prices went up a month ago to $1/hour, but still a bargain. The free WiFi and long distance calling in North America was a bonus.We really enjoyed ourselves and I must say that this location was great value for money. I would stay here in a flash next time and would recommend it to any friends or family. I always worry about the mixed reviews I read on TripAdvisor, etc., but this unit will not disappoint. Highly recommended!Aloha!"

"My husand and I recently stayed at the Ilikai, unit #2028 for 2 1/2wks. It was everything we expected and more. This is our 4th time to Hawaii so we decided to rent a condo this time which was the best decision we made. It was nice to having a full kitchen with all the appliances, big and small. The location was excellent. I was able to go jogging at the Ala Moana Beach Park every morning which was only a 7 minute warm up away. The mall was a short walk away also. The condo was spotless and the 42 TV was perfect for my husband. Having free WIFI was very convenient for us. We were able to stay in touch with family and friends on a regular basis. We were able to access at 10.30am after a long flight from Australia & few dramas at the airport so it was nice to be able to just walk straight in without having to check-in or wait for keys. The apartment was better then the photos on the website, it was incredibly spacious had a great view of the lagoon & we enjoyed the sunsets from the balcony. Everything in the apartment appeared to be new & the bed in the main bedroom was heavenly. We will definitely be coming back for another stay at the Ilikai."

"If you are looking for a home away from home like we were, it is definately the Ilikai. We travel to Hawaii annually and usually stay in one of the better hotels on the beach.We decided that we wanted to have breakfast and snacks in our home and therefore began looking for a condo type situation. After much research I found Scott at his office. Let me just point out that not all the units at the Ilikai are in Scott's care nor are they the same standard that he represents! He was VERY helpful and forthright and represented the Aloha spirit beautifully. We chose unit #1722 and it was EXACTLY as represented on the website! It was tastefully appointed, spotlessly clean (a big one for me) and well appointed from appliances and bedding to dishes and towels. A fabulous view and the onsite restaraunt (Sarenta's) was exceptional. Try the spaghetti and filet meatballs...........unreal! I cannot toot the Ilikai horn enough.................she is a grand dame that has been very well preserved and can give any of the newer hotels a good run. If you are looking for great value and very comfortable accomodations, you can't go wrong there. We look forward to seeing you next year."

I have been over to Hawaii numerous times over the years, always staying at a traditional hotel. I must admit, given everyone's fears about internet scams, it was a little stressful to make plans (particularly over Christmas) for a place to stay, 3500 miles and 12 hours of flying from home. All my fears were gone the moment we walked in the door. What an absolutely beautiful place! It's obvious you take care and pride in the product you provide. I can't say enough about the service you provided, the quality of the suite and the price. Everything was perfect. I hadn't even noticed that one of the blinds was slightly damaged from a previous occupant, when I received a phone call from you apologizing for the condition and that they were being replaced the next day. That's what I call service! Your guide book was great, we went to a few of the places you recommended, and they were great. By the way, you're absolutely right, the Wailana Coffee House truly has the oldest waitresses and the ugliest uniforms. The food on the other hand was excellent, and the price was right. "We arrived on Saturday at around 11:00 pm. We were very happy to find that the directions and instructions were perfect and we had no problems getting into the room and settling in. We were also pleasantly surprised that the condo was so clean and well equipped. The welcome note was very helpful and informative. We could not be happier. The complex is also very quiet so we are able to get some well deserved rest and relaxation at night. The location of the condo is absolutely perfect to get to all amenities. We are a short walk from the mall and a short walk to the many shops. It also has quick and easy access to many restaurants. We are also very happy that there are no room keys to worry about. The keyless entry is extremely simple to use and there are no worries about losing keys on the beach or in the pool. The pool facilities are also very clean and enjoyable. The quick and easy access to the beach was also very easy to find and well maintained. "Ilikai unit 2603 is an exceptionally and beautifully cared for penthouse and our stay in this penthouse was wonderful! Our first impression when we walked in was that it was fresh, crisp, spacious and very much up to date. The unit was sparkly clean, superbly decorated and the beds were especially comfortable as well as all the linens and pillows that were provided. The kitchen was well stocked and also the laundry area with all the detergent we needed. All that was needed was for us to do was pick up a few essential such as water, coffee, tea and cream and whatever food items we felt we wanted.We also enjoyed the use of Valet Parking at the Ilikai. They were always right there as soon as we pulled up to help us out. A rental car enabled us to see the rest of the island.It was great!!!!! Thank you for all your help in our leasing Unit 2603. We were very much at home and comfortable in this unit. We had a real grand time and will definitely boast about our stay in 2603!!! "

"We stayed at the Ilikai unit 1624 and had a great time! The view is amazing of the ocean and the Hilton's Lagoon. Reflections of palm trees in the water was great to wake up to, as you could see the view from in bed. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable. The kitchen had almost everything you could need for most basic meals. We ate breakfast and lunch at the unit almost every day. We could have made dinner if we had wanted but there were so many great restaurants in Waikiki. We tried The Shorebird, The Yard House, Senor Frogs and Round Table Pizza. All restaurants had really tasty food. The proximity of unit 1624 at the Ilikai was awesome. We walked around the Lagoon and onto the oceanfront walkway on a daily basis and would often go back along the main street to do some shopping. We will definitly book this unit again when we come back to Hawaii. As I write this I am sitting on the lanai and it just doesn't get any better than this."

"I just wanted to let you know that my two sisters and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Ilikai last month. We stayed in 1607 and other than not having an ocean view, it was perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai and just watching the people on the street and looking at the beautiful sites. We enjoyed the Hawaiian band on Friday night and then the fireworks. The valets were so courteous and really extra nice. We are coming back to Honolulu later this year and we hope that we can get an affordable unit at the Illaiki. "We endured the tedious 18+hours indirect flight to Hawaii from London to attend a wedding in Waikiki. Honestly, our initial feeling based on the website was that this place sounded too good to be true, We've heard it all before in all those travel shows. We also had a slight fear that it wasn't going to be as described once we got there and it is worth noting that we've travelled up and down the Caribbean already. Boy were we in for a surprise! We stayed at the marvellous Unit 1414 ocean front room which was like a home away from home, the kitchen and bedding get full marks including the DVD which kept my little girl happy watching Dora the Explorer.The world famous Aloha spirit must be experienced. It starts with Scott at the beginning who offered fair advice (even though it was his business to get my business), followed by the unbelievable and endless warmth of the Hawaiian people wherever you go and not to mention Syndi on our last day in paradise who allowed us to check out late without too much hassle. We had relatives staying at the nearby Halekulani Hotel, which is supposed to be one of the best Hotels in Waikiki and I visited some of their rooms and can honestly say I won't swap mine for theirs. The location is also superb with the Ala Moana Centre, KOBE & Beni Han Japanese and the best ice cream at the Hilton Hawaiian Village all within a few yards. We only had 10 unforgettable days but If ever we're fortunate to make the Aloha trip of a lifetime again, we'll certain revisit the Ilikai."

Condo unit 1607 was a delight, and half of the week I did not leave the property due to my health, I made a daily trip to the pool to exercise, an every other day to the ABC store for food and kitchen needs, one trip to the Ala Mona Shopping Center, I ate out at The top if the I (Sarento's) twice and that food and service has not changed any over the years, I did take friends from Kahala over to the North Shore to eat at Jamison's which is a treat anytime, and one day I had lunch at the Beach Cafe at the Halekulani Hotel.Back to the condo, The bed was very comfortable, The interior furnishings were more than expected and very professionally selected for the guest's complete comfort. I was impressed with the extra items, from appliances to the quality of the linens. All in all I had a very nice stay, I'm planning to return to the Islands in September to go Marlin Fishing off the Kona coast, and I will plan to stay at the Ilikai on the Oahu portion of that trip as well as any future trips to the Islands."
